Tay Creek Folk Festival Coordinator (Summer Position) (The sixth annual) Tay Creek Folk Festival has a vacancy for a summer placement. Applicants must be enrolled in full-time education for the academic year 2013 – 2014. Job title: Festival Coordinator: General Assistant Location: Tay Ridge Farm, 3888 Route 620, Tay Creek, NB, E6B 1K2 (just 23 minutes away from Fredericton) Schedule: 30 hours per week to a total of 300 hours (flexible schedule). Rate: $11 per hour Tasks: • Event planning work associated with organization of annual music festival: liaising with musicians and volunteers; public and media relations tasks (e.g. writing press releases, contacting media with an emphasis on promotion); seeking sponsorship, grants and donations; writing and emailing newsletters; liaising with printer; dealing with phone calls and correspondence; filing; help with onsite work (stage and site management, some cleaning). • Social networking and/or web design/management an advantage. • Car owner desirable. • Possibility of accommodation.
