Tazara Is A Loss Making Entity, Mukanga tells Striking Workers Transport and Communication minister Yamfwa Mukanga says striking Tanzania-Zambia Railways workers have no reason to strike over money because there institution does not make profit. TAZARA workers have gone five months without pay and have downed tools to try and press for payment of their dues. Mukanga said it was immoral for TAZARA workers to go on strike because they could solve their situation by turning around the company and make profit. “I would like to say it is not right for any institution which is not even making any profit to go on strike and say we want money when they are not even making any profit,” he said. “It is only that government as a mother will come in and assist.
