Teachers & Parents: Tomorrow, Professional Communications at WO-S HS is participating in a speech assignment in which he/she will not speak for 24 hours. Sign language and written communication may be used, but whispering is not allowed. The purpose of this assignment is to teach students the value of verbal communication and how to communicate non-verbally. It should also aid in developing listening skills. I hope this will not create a problem in your class today. You may exempt this student from participating in the assignment if necessary. There should be no speech, other than that which is necessary to be able to function in your particular class. Please sign in the appropriate class period space on the back of this form and indicate whether or not the student was successful during your class period. Thank you for your help and cooperation. Rules: 1. They must present their paper to their teacher at the beginning of each class. 2. They must wear their tag in a visible place on their chest. 3. If they are caught cheating by Ms. Celestine or another teacher it will be -5 points each time. 4. You must communicate completely non-verbally. NO VOCAL SOUNDS.
