Teaching (A poem for your pocket) This year, you know your stuff. Got the buzz words Got the framework Got the literature (and actually read it) Youve worked hard. Tried to impress. Youve put off personal projects And maintained focus on the goals You set when all this started. This year you know your stuff. But next year, Someones gonna stand over you and step on your forehead Because you wont know that someone, somewhere, changed the words for everything. New words for old meanings New charts for old ideas New literature to read. Dont fall behind! This is the new stuff And its gonna be here forever! (Not really) But you better believe it when its told to you by the guy with his foot on your forehead! So put those personal projects off a little longer. Put your nose to the grindstone boy. This is the new stuff. This is the present. This is the future... ...Until it all changes again.
