Teaching Kids To Fish needs your help Teaching Kids To Fish is an outreach for kids in this community. Now Teaching Kids To Fish is reaching out to YOU! Teaching Kids To Fish has had its doors open for over 3 years now and has served many kid’s in this community. However, the progress on Ridgecrest Blvd. has made access to the Thrift Store and The Bait & Tackle Shop limited and business has been drastically affected. Since the road work began in front of the building three weeks ago sales have dropped over 80% for the month of July. The sales from the thrift shop and the bait & tackle shop are a major source of funding for the program. Not only do sales fund the out of town fishing trips, gas, food, drinks and gear for the children in the program, but sales also fund the utilities and lease of the building. Teaching Kids To Fish is a public benefit, non-profit, faith-based organization, which helps provided a safe, fun, and educational environment at absolutely NO COST to the kids in this community. The kids were planning to do a car wash in our parking lot to help support the program, but due to the road work it needed to be postponed. On August 2nd and 3rd that is this Saturday and Sunday, Teaching Kids To Fish will be having a huge sale in front of their building and will be selling everything from boats, cars, furniture, tools and anything they can to raise money to keep their doors open to the kids in this community. Teaching Kids To Fish is calling out to this community to help keep them in operation while this road construction is going on. A portion of their funding can come from sponsorships through their individual sponsorship and business sponsorship programs There are three levels to sponsor Teaching Kids To Fish (Platinum, Gold, and Silver) that businesses and individuals can sponsor and your Tax deductable donations can be payable in advance for the 2014-2015 fishing season. With the help of your sponsorship and support together they can continue to help kids in this community. For those who are already sponsors, thank you for supporting this worthwhile cause. Teaching Kids To Fish is inviting everyone to come and get involved with them. Please continue to support the Thrift Store, Tackle Shop, and make donations. As a courtesy, they will pick up donations FREE of charge. You dont even have to drive thru the road work to drop off your donations, please continue to support this worthy cause.
