Team Cashe: one of our valued members has expressed a concern he feels our group has lost site of its Mission, and, that I am concerned too much with raising funds for the upcoming TEAM CASHE Bicycle Ride. Here is my response. If any of you have these concerns I would ask you send me a private message. Our group has always remained united in our efforts and I certainly hope we will continue on that course. Steven, first let me say that for my initial ride I did in fact contact the very organizations you cited, and, in each case I received absolutely NO support. Two of the three did not even respond to 3 separate requests. You are correct. Planning is the key. I then sent emails to 11 major hotel/motel chains and again, received absolutely no support what so ever. I sent emails to WalMart, Huffy Bikes, KMart, Target, and a number of others, again, zero support. As to the Mission Statement I assure you I know what it says in so far as I wrote it. OUR MISSION REMAINS THE SAME. I am sincerely sorry you feel the way you do. I have dedicated almost 4 years to this cause, and, I retired early, therefore receiving less in Social Security, simply to dedicate myself, full time, to this cause. I can also assure you I do not like asking anyone for anything; however if I must do so to continue to gain media attention, new members for our cause, and, to spread the word and story of SFC Cashes Heroism and Valor then I will certainly do so. I also have spent a considerable amount of my own funds to continue this effort, and, I do so gladly. Certainly no member of our group need feel that he or she needs to contribute. I certainly understand many of our members struggle daily to make ends meet. Both their support for our cause, and yours, are greatly appreciated and we do not wish to loose a single Team Member who supports this great Mission.
