Team Event on Tuesday based from the fantastic CB Inn, Arkengarthdale, Yorkshire Dales. We offered two walks: full days fell walk and low-level philosophy walk. I took 8 people on the fell walk: CB Inn, Arkle Town, Calver Hill, Castle Farm, White House, Fremington Edge, Fell End Lead Mines, Storthwaite and Langthwaite. 12 miles of unrivalled beauty, open hills and superb views. The sun shone for most of the day, except for half an hour as we walked along the crest of Fremington Edge when we were pelted by hailstones during a pretty intense thunder storm, just as we were walking across the old lead mines! I took the group down off the Edge onto a broad shelf for a little shelter whilst the storm passed, then continued along the ridge as the sun came back out. What a great way to spend a day out with your work colleagues...
