Team Leader KPMG IDAS Date Listed: Nov 6, 2013 Area: Dar Es Salaam Application Deadline: Nov 20, 2013 Position Description: KPMG East Africa Team Leader Opportunity KPMG IDAS Africa is currently looking for a dynamic Team Leader for an upcoming agribusiness challenge fund opportunity to be implemented in the southern corridor of Tanzania. It is envisaged the programme shall commence in January 2014 and run for a period of 5 years. KPMG is very interested in this forthcoming opportunity and is seeking Senior International, Regional and National expertise. We anticipate the programme will require a Team Leader with the following skills and experience: Essential Demonstrated outstanding leadership, strategic thinking, and organisational, team-building and stakeholder management skills. Proven track record of leading complex projects, ideally which bring together stakeholders from the public and private sectors, and include development partners. · Conceptual and analytical skills on policy development. Experience of liaising with and training of senior government officials and donors Technical qualifications and practical experience in agribusiness (preferable at Masters or PhD level in Agricultural Economics, Land Economics, Economics, Agriculture or related fields). Experience in implementing and managing Challenge Funds a distinct advantage. Proven ability to function effectively with multiple host-country counterparts and representatives from other key stakeholders such as NGOs and other donors. Strong verbal and written English communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in Kiswahili an advantage but not essential Desirable Experience in agribusiness finance. Experience of working in Sub-Saharan Africa; working in Tanzania and East Africa in general. Familiarity with the Government of Tanzania and major donor regulations and administrative procedures. Working proficiency in Swahili.
