Sometimes ago in Nigeria, I was in my house reading when I heard the noise of a woman who just gave birth to a child and lost her memory. She was running about naked. We tried to catch her but she became more violent. When her husband, bro Raphael came and saw us sweating and trying to catch his wife, he laughed. He said we shouldnt border ourselves that it was normal for a woman that just give birth in their family to have a mental problem for a while. But they have some charms mixed with a part of lizard she must swallow before she could come to her senses. His pastor and other brethren were shocked because bro Raphael was a sunday school teacher. You can not buy a snail without going home with its shell and smell. So also when you marry a partner you have technically married everything attached to them. Every man and woman is a fruit. Their family, custom and upbringing is their tree. You can not fully know a fruit until you get to know the tree that produced it. Before marriage, meet with all his/her family. Insist that you know all his/her customs, traditions and past. Whatever he/she tries to hide from you today maybe the Judas that will betray your marriage tomorrow. Dont allow him tell you that his past is history unless you want your marriage to become history too one day! Those who do not learn from the past become materials for history in the future. Wisdom is profitable to direct. If it is Gods will for both of you to be together, fast and pray about those evil culture and tradition in Jesus name. With God nothing is impossible. May God lead us right.
