Technical Sales Manager – Northern California Linium is currently seeking a Technical Sales Manager in the Northern California Area who can motivate the sales resources in the territory and provide leadership in the region that inspires a winning “Get the Order” attitude. In this position you will: • Ensure that all sales resources are sufficiently trained on products and provide technical support as needed to assist in selling Solutions to the customer base. • Develop and implement action plans to grow new product sales or achieve greater penetration of specific product lines. • Maximize sales at assigned accounts, manage key global accounts (US and Asia), and coordinate out of territory activity on assigned accounts. • In collaboration with market segment principals, establish strategy on all major customer contracts and/or negotiations and assume complete responsibility for the negotiation. • Identify and successfully capture emerging new product opportunities. Drive the “Design-Win” process. • Provide comprehensive field sales intelligence and reports. Requirements: The successful candidate will have, as a minimum a Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited four-year college or university, i.e., Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science. The successful candidate will also have a strong understanding of circuit protection solutions and a strong record of consistent sales and profitable growth, plus: • 5+ years’ experience in a sales management/supervisory role, 5+ years’ experience selling through independent representatives, 10+ years’ sales experience in the electronic components and technical solutions industry. • First-hand knowledge of regionally-based OEM accounts, EMS distributors and reps. • Global account management experience. • Strong leadership skills, work ethic, negotiation, management, coaching, mentoring, planning, presentation and organizational skills.
