Technique Tip: To get the most out of back-dancing at the end of class, as you lift and lower your seat to the mat, hinge from the bottom of your ribcage and keep your chest still. Relax your lower back as well so your glutes do all of the work and your back gets a stretch. If you feel your upper body moving and your ribcage leaving the mat, try lowering your seat. Remember to grip your glutes at the top of each tuck to further challenge your seat muscles.
