Techniques for Giving Reiki to Animals Here are some general techniques to use on animals: *Distant Reiki: Using this type of Reiki can be performed from any distance whether youre in the next room, the next state or a different country. This method can also be used to treat any trauma an animal might have suffered in the past or with any future event like a change in locations or owners. *Beaming Reiki from across the room: Its a good idea to start with beaming Reiki first and ask the permission of the animals higher self if its okay to continue. This way you can connect with the animal before moving closer. Many times the animal will move closer to you to get more of the feel good thats coming his/her way :) You can also use this method with animals in zoos or aquariums. *Reiki with hands hovering over the body: This method allows a more subtle form of Reiki that animals can tolerate for a longer period of time. *Hands-on Reiki: In hands-on Reiki you can give to your pets Reik using the same hand positions that are used for humans. They are much smaller, but basially the anatomy is the same. *Group Reiki: Group Reiki can performed by a few people at the same time and is a good method to use for large animals like horses. Remember that small animals do not need sessions as long as those we give to humans :) Animals will let you know when theyve had enough Reiki by their body language...usually they will simply leave when theyve had enough Reiki for one time.
