(Glenn McCuen (x)) GENERAL INFORMATION: Back to 12 episodes. S4 takes place two months after the end of 3B. Lacrosse is back, and in addition to two of the newbies, Kira will be joining the team. (x) Also back is humor. Berserkers! (x) Allison’s loss will still be felt. 4×01 is called “The Dark Moon” and deals specifically with grief and moving on. (x) Lydia-centric, more focus on the Martin family. (x) They feel they have a really strong central mystery for S4. (x) Scott struggles to solidify his new pack after losing two members. (x) Also, it’s about more human problems than supernatural ones. (x) There will be psychological repercussions for Stiles. (x) They’re still writing it. (x) New opening credits. CONCERNING KATE ARGENT: They always planned on her returning but scheduling conflicts kept pushing it back. Jeff says that she’s a were-creature, but not a werewolf. (x) Jill Wagner calls her a werejaguar. (x) Won’t explain what the green eyes mean. (x) Reason why she didn’t follow the Argent code of killing herself (a la Victoria and Alexander) will be explained in the first episode. (x) When asked, friend or foe, Jeff says, “Well, she’s going to be a foe to many people, but you’ll be surprised to see who she aligns herself with. She definitely has an agenda, and one of those agendas is to survive at all costs.” (x) CONCERNING DEREK: The first episode takes place in Mexico, where the pack is on a mission to both find and save Derek. (x) Derek gets another love interest. (x) CONCERNING STILES/LYDIA AND STILES/MALIA: Jeff claims to not be a fan of love triangles, but if it’s “good conflict”, they will go for it. (x) When asked if Stiles/Lydia would ever get together, Jeff said fans of the pairing could still hold out hope. (x) CONCERNING MALIA IN GENERAL: Says Jeff, “Malia complicates things, both romantically and in the pack. Scott is going to accept her into his pack, and her relationship with Peter is going to become a major complication as well.” (x) They’re working on a Lydia/Malia storyline. (x) The Peter/Malia storyline is expected to be big next season. (x) CONCERNING THE NEW CHARACTERS: Mason, Liam, and Garrett are described by show creator Jeff Davis as “younger characters who are brought in to complicate the lives of our main characters” (x).
