Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: 9/11 Poster Prompts Backlash Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles hits theaters stateside this weekend. Down Under, however, the film has a slightly more resonant release date: September 11, 2014. Prepare to gasp at the most poorly judged poster and date combo imaginable, tweeted another. The date may not hold quite the stigma for Aussies that it does for Americans, but the controversial poster and release date combo was approved by an Australian division of Paramount - a U.S.-owned and operated studio. Its pretty hard to move past an error of that magnitude, but on the plus side - the movie still features Megan Fox jumping on a trampoline. So theres that.
