Telangana nativity survey creates confusion.. Hyderabad: Utter confusion prevails among the people over the Intensive Household Survey to be conducted by the Telangana State government on August 19. With no clarity on the details that would be sought and the documents people need to show or submit to the enumerators, several misconceptions are doing the rounds. Several questionnaire formats have been uploaded on various websites and social networking sites complicating matters further.. While one questionnaire states that there is a nativity column, officials deny the same. They say there is no such column and that the final questionnaire format is yet to be finalised.. People are worried about family members residing in other villages, towns, states and countries, as officials have said that all family members must be present at home on the day of the survey.. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has said several times that only people who are enrolled in the survey will be eligible for the various welfare schemes and benefits offered by the state government in future. The middle and higher income groups, who are not eligible for welfare schemes or other benefits of the state government, are not bothered about the survey, but people below poverty line are worried about losing subsidised ration, Aarogyasri benefits, pensions, fee reimbursement etc, if they miss the survey. They are frantically asking their near and dear ones to return home at any cost to be present for the survey.. Details of people who have migrated to other countries for employment and education purposes will be enrolled in the survey provided their family members submit the required proof.. Lakhs of labourers from districts such as Mahbubnagar, Karimna-gar, Nizamabad etc. have migrated to other states, Maharashtra, Gujarat etc., in search of livelihood and are forced to return home for the survey. The railway and RTC officials have decided to run special trains and buses to meet the heavy demand prior to Aug 19.. The situation is very different in the GHMC limits covering Hydera-bad and Ranga Reddy districts. The government had said that the GHMC limits would be exempted from the survey on August 19.. The Intensive House-hold Survey will take place on August 18 and 19 between 7 am to 7 pm..
