Tell Your Representative to VOTE NO on House Bill 1576 Pennsylvania Council of Trout Unlimited March 7, 2014 Dear Pennsylvania TU Member, Time is running out, and we need you take action TODAY to protect Pennsylvanias trout streams. House Bill 1576- a bill that would subject the PFBCs decisions to list wild trout streams, and threatened and endangered species, to review and approval by the Independent Regulatory Review Commission and by legislative committees-could be voted on as early as next week. Here is why HB1576 doesnt make sense: The bill delays much needed protections for vulnerable wild trout streams. HB1576 politicizes the current scientific, technical and transparent listing process, allowing special interests to drive the process, rather than science. Concerns raised by supporters of the bill are focused on challenges with the permit process. HB1576 does not change the permit process. Please contact your Representative today, and tell him or her that House Bill 1576 is bad for Pennsylvania sportsmen and women, and it will remove important protections for the commonwealths fish and wildlife. To learn more about the House Bill 1576, please check out the PATU website. Thank you for all you do to protect wild and native trout, Brian Wagner President Pennsylvania Council of Trout Unlimited Katy Dunlap Eastern Water Project Director Trout Unlimited
