Temperatures have warmed into the mid 80s to near 90 degrees across West Central TX this afternoon with gusty west winds once again leading to high fire danger. A cold front will move across the area tonight, shifting winds to the north. This will have some effect on ongoing wildfires, both with the fire behavior and the direction the smoke moves. Weve got one more day of high fire danger tomorrow before we get a bit of a respite from the wind. Expect north winds near 20 mph and temperatures in the mid 70s tomorrow afternoon across the Big Country.
