Ten minute turn around!! We’ve all been there, sat behind the rods staring into space, scratching the head, asking ourselves “what am I possibly doing wrong”. Your mate’s on the same lake, same bait, same rigs, fishing similar areas and can’t seem to cast a rig in the wrong place, his net’s always the wet one at the end of the session yet you can’t buy a bite. Well that’s fishing unfortunately and this scenario was all too familiar to our good friend Mr Clegg just a short while back. Knocking on for two months without a fish from his syndicate water, it was as though he was turning up to assist his buddy with netting and photo duties, while his alarms remained silent. Fair play to Nath though, deciding not to lose faith and give up, he stuck with what he was doing, in the hope it was only a matter of time before finding his own fortune. Very wise choice indeed, finding himself back in one of his regular swims his usual approach was followed and as the evening drew in one of the rods was away to a one toner. A leg trembling battle later and it was over the net cord, no sooner could he lift the net up to have a look at his prize, the other rod followed suit and Nath was in battle with his second fish. Literally within a matter of twenty minutes his luck had turned round totally, leaving him starring into the net at a brace of commons weighing in excess of 71lb. The chestnut common went 38.3 with the lighter coloured one settling the scales at 33.5, hats off to the chap for sticking with it when times got hard, it’s safe to say his efforts were certainly rewarded though! We’ve chucked the brace shot in as captures of the sort certainly aren’t commonplace, pity about the leaves on the fish but we can imagine it was kinda mayhem, nevertheless a massive well in that man!! #Formula #keepthefaith
