Ten years. A lot can happen over ten years. During the past ten years, I have been blessed with two grandsons. I have lost the love of a son and a for now a life with those grandsons. I have made two cross-country trips with Eloise, the person who means more to me than anyone else in the world. On those trips I have seen places that I have only read about and now have a new appreciation for this country in which I live and the people who inhabit it. I have enjoyed trips to the Gulf that have revived a dying soul. I have a whole new family called Facebook Friends. I have gotten to know new people, returned to some old friendships, and treasured friends and family who have stuck with me through thick and thin. I have grown spiritually and, sad to say, physically. I have laughed; I have cried; I have remained stoic. I am simply reflecting tonight on the past ten years. Ten years ago today my brother Richie died from pancreatic cancer. My world and the world at large has changed immensely in that period of time. Dont let the next ten years pass you by without truly experiencing it. We do not know when our time on earth will be over. Love life and live it!
