Tenure-track Position in Interaction Design (80%) Zurich University of the Arts We are looking for a candidate with the best teaching and research record to join our interaction design team. The candidate should have an MA or PhD degree in Interaction Design, Media Art or related fields, as well as experience in practice-based teaching and research, creative and theoretical investigation and experimental methods. We are particularly interested in applicants whose profile is multidisciplinary and whose work focuses on innovative design approaches within the context of ecological-economic sustainability and socio-cultural responsibility. The candidate’s research and teaching interests should be related to topic of embodied and spatial interaction design. The successful candidate should have teaching and research experience that combines creative work (object making, video prototyping, digital media, art installations, physical computing, mobile applications…) with critical, social and cultural theories and methods (ethnography, philosophy, social sciences, cultural studies, design and art history…). She or he will be expected to teach design studios and courses and supervise students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. In addition to teaching, the candidate will be expected to participate in meetings, curriculum development, admissions and organization of events, and overall program leadership. The candidate’s development of new research projects and collaborations can lead to a full time employment.
