Ter Attentie Insanity Vrouwen.......::)) Ladies, there is no need to fear. Your recent weight gain can and is explainable. Furthermore, most everyone that has ever done the program has experienced the same, including me. The first 30 days of INSANITY are really meant to prepare you for the second 30. Most individuals within the program did not notice major weight loss until the second month. What they did notice where inches lost, moderate weight gain, and greater cardio vascular endurance. So, without getting all “medical” on you just relax and see if any of this helps. 1) Are you ingesting too many calories? Though you may think you’re eating “healthy” you may be over doing it on the carbs. 2) You are NOT ingesting enough calories. Believe it or not, if you eat less than a 1000 calories a day, your body will actually gain weight. Though you may think, “If I work out, and eat less, I’ll lose weight like crazy”. WRONG! Your body is hard wired to survive. Instead it will horde what you do eat, and keep it as fat reserves, and not utilize as fuel. 3) You’re not getting enough sleep and allowing your body adequate time to respond. Just because you are ready, doesn’t mean your body is, especially if you’ve been living a sedentary lifestyle. So, give your body a break, and let it catch up to you. 4) Are you on any medications? Medications; especially birth control, can affect many changes in the body. That is why your doctor always recommends that you have a “FULL” physical before you start any exercise program. 5) Finally, you may be adding muscle faster than burning fat. Again, muscle weighs more than fat, and if your body is not used to what you are currently doing it may be just sitting back for now. See, your body is practically saying, “Ok, here we go again. How long is she/he going to do this, this time? I’ll just hold onto what I have and burn this other stuff for now”. What you have to do is break through that barrier and cause your body to use the food you take in as fuel and not as a reserve for a rainy day. I hope this helps somewhat. Either way, good luck and keep pressing play. =o)
