Teresa Kok demanded Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s resignation - TopicsExpress

Teresa Kok demanded Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s resignation today after the minister dismissed calls to investigate organisers of last Thursday’s chicken slaughter protest. The DAP MP described Zahid’s remarks as “ridiculous” and questioned his comprehension of the law, as well as his ability to run the Home Ministry. “He must either resign his post or be sacked,” she told The Malay Mail Online when contacted. The threats were clearly a form of criminal intimidation, which is a crime under the country’s Penal Code, she said. “Will he (Zahid) make the same remarks if a group of people offered RM1,200 reward to anyone who dared to slap the prime minister?” she asked. Kok also called on the PM to take immediate action against the NGOs and not allow the country to “descend into lawlessness.
