#Terrorism In Nigeria, The Unseen Signals: The Government of Nigeria and Political actors therein, should in the name of whatever they worship, set aside every differences, misunderstanding and join hands together in putting an end to the activities of those whose plot is to set our country on fire. BokoHaram of 2009 has been hijacked by a more sinister group whose sole objective is to cause another Civil war in our land and we will either endorse or repudiate, reject that objective by our response. It is not by singing the national anthem, will our patriotic pledge be known but by refusing to be ensnared by our enemies. The reaction of the Government and citizens of Nigeria in the face of this disaster is far from adequate and acceptable. When the Fed Govt casts blames on the Opposition and the Opposition replies with equal aspersion, hatred, it shows a lack of proper understanding of the current insecurity conundrum. When Northerners and Southerners display immaturity by fighting dirty over a non issue, it shows our foolishness even at the sight of our burning house. Greedy Nigerians with International Terror links are working assiduously towards plunging our country into a Civil war while we quarrel over power? Is this not crazy? Should we not set aside ever differences and tackle a common enemy? Will there be a 2015, if there is no 2014? Are we all under a spell? I call on the Federal Government to rise above every partisanship, religious sentiment, tribalism and every other weight that has pulled her down and respond fully and adequately to this fatal threat. For Bokoharam to operate with the kind of arrogance they do, then there are people in Government who provide information and financial support.... Pls, Mr President beam a nonpartisan searchlight on your Cabinet and friends, and heads should begin to roll! You can never succeed with these evil people sabotaging your efforts. Also, the Opposition should realise what they represent to both the Government and the Citizens of this country. Their actions and conducts have dampened the hope of Nigerians in the future of this country more than anything else. We expect a more elucid and matured interpretation of their role in this time. We expect that they rise above the mere craving for power, attention and self interest and do what is needful and expedient to salvage Nigeria from the enemys claws. The citizens should be able to read the ominous signs and be sober. Followership of a failed, violent leader should stop. If your not following him, he wont incite you.... if there is a breakout of war, the poor masses will suffer most, so the masses should wakeup from their slumber. Since most of the crisis plaguing us have religious roots, those most responsible for quelling this crisis are our religious leaders. Overtime, greed, lust for material things made our Pastors and Imams more carnal than spiritual and therefore diminished and eroded the positive influence they would have had on our polity. The failings of our society are the direct consequences of the failings of our different religious circles. I, therefore call on our religious leaders to study the time, and lend their spirit to understanding, so the sheep in their care will avoid unnecessary losses. The mindless slaughter of Zamfara youths would have been avoided if the Shikes who led them had been a bit more sober and reflective. What is the essence of honouring a yearly street protest in an area as volatile and restive as Zamfara? Our leaders in different fields must be held responsible for failures arising from their omissions and commissions. #GIBSON UMANAH.
