Terry sent us his review of the Chili 3!! We are glad you like your glider Terry and hope to see and fly with you soon ~ TA These are my initial impressions of the Chili 3. I was flying a "C" wing for a couple of years but decided to move back to a "B" for added security as I am not flying as much as I had hoped. After a lot of research I decided to go with the Chili 3. To echo a review I read on the web..."where the heck are all the lines" Build Quality Excellent! I layed this glider out and went over every inch before kiting/flying and the fit and finish are top notch. And the tech features built in are amazing. Gliders have really changed for the better over the last few years. Launching Simple easy no overshoot. Very easy to control Brakes As someone who has some shoulder issues I was looking for a glider that had light to moderate brake pressure. The Chili delivers. It is much easier than my previous wing. The brakes are much longer than I was used to but I quickly adapted to them and found them long but precise. They allow you to really core nicely. Speedbar I am flying an Apco Chairbag lll and it works well with the Chili. pressure is moderate. It is easy to pull half or full bar without strain. And at 1/2 to 2/3 bar I did not notice much loss of glide at all. Very effective and stable. And good speed gains. Hard to tell for sure as most of the flight was in a tailwind that at times had me tracking just over 60kmh with out bar. Glide As noted I am flying an open harness but glide was still excellent. I looked on the web for some hard numbers before buying this wing but there where none to be found. This concerned me a bit. But I can say that during a small XC that I was able to stay with some C gliders so I have no concerns there. This wing can float and fly. I will include the KML Handling I touched on handling in the brake section but I wanted to say that while I have only two flights I am impressed. Most reviews said this wing talks a lot. I would have to agree but in a very good way. between the brakes and the seat of your pants she tells you what is going on above without to much fuss. I guess what I am trying to say is that it was easy to sync up with the glider. You feel connected. While I realize I am still in the "honeymoon phase" I do know what I like and this glider is easy to like. I have owned 3 gliders before this one and flown about six so I am no expert but this is without reservations the best glider I have owned. After setting a personal best on my second flight I am looking forward to many more. Thanks Skywalk for making a great glider. And thanks George and Lee. Your customer service was great. and after sale communication has been excellent. Cheers
