Texas Death Count Vigil 7:00 pm, Saturday, October 18, 2014 In front of the South Capitol Gates, 11th & Congress, Austin, Texas Usually Halloween is about children, costumes, candy and decorations which almost make us afraid. But this year is different. There are real monsters and ghouls out there. And they’re not giving away candy but gorging on the poor souls who are sick and can’t afford hospitals, because the Governor & Legislature of Texas have rejected new funds from Washington intended to help the poor and dying. So we’re having a death vigil for these people before they have to die. We will be solemn before our children’s’ Halloween fun. We will have lots and lots of lights (3,000 at least), from the Capitol’s South Gate (11th and Congress Ave.) and down Congress starting from 7pm Saturday October 18, 2014. Bring your own lights (anything but torches and wax candles). Bring your children and your neighbors. Dress for this very solemn commemoration of those who will be dying and our solemn condemnation of the madness of our politicians for ignoring their fate.
