Thank God. On my Change the World to do list (yes, I have one of those) helping to bring awareness to the rise of carbon pollution is number one on the list. If youre unaware, Earth is (in a nut shell) pretty much dying due to the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere (mostly from coal plants + gas fueled cars). And because were tearing down more trees than were planting, there arent enough trees to absorb the CO2 and replenish the oxygen that we need in order to survive. This plan of action raised by Obama wouldnt take away the damage weve already done, but it would cut down future damage dramatically. Something that I personally think would help, in addition, is to place a law where in order to tear a tree down, you must replace it by planting an oxygen-rich plant. This way, any CO2 that were still emitting, will be transfused.
