Thank everyone for your prayers for my granddad. Just heard a little while ago that he passed away peacefully earlier tonight. I know he is so much better off and that he is happier now than he has ever been. He was a Christian man, a great fisherman who could always untangle my line or get that ugly blowfish off my hook for me, a great storyteller, being famous with all the grandkids for his animated story of Briar Rabbit while we listened intently sitting on his lap. He was an awesome husband, father, and grandfather who worked hard to give us all what we wanted or needed. He was a farmer, an inventor, and a Purple Heart Veteran of WWII who was so proud to have served his country. He was a shining example of faith in the Lord for us all to pattern ourselves after, taking us to church every time the doors were open, then taking us for ice cream afterward. He made everything special and loved to have a party. I know he is surely having a party in Heaven now! You left behind great memories, lots of love, but most of all - a legacy. Rest in peace, sweet grandpa - youve earned it. I love you.
