Thank god this week is almost over…my plans for last weekend were to head to Ballina for a few days of R&R with the family….those plans were severely derailed when my back decided to pop a disc….(note to self…don’t move 2 cubic metres of bark up a ladder in bags by yourself)…..a few days of intense pain and back spasms followed by a ride to hospital in an ambulance on Sunday morning….no lights and sirens despite my pleading….all followed by a week off work in intense pain and using my office chair as a zimmer frame and my 9 iron as a walking stick…thank God for Valium….Endone…Ibuprofen…Panadeine Forte (no wonder I rattle when I walk)….and the trusty heat pack which I think I have worn out….Have felt like an invalid all week but am finally managing to walk upright at last….Whinge now over…..the weekend is nearly here and I am feeling better even though I still wont be able to ride my motorbike this weekend :( A huge thanks to Vicki Neale for bringing me home from hospital and making sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed on Sunday, not sure how I would have managed with your help. Thanks also to everyone else who rang and offered your help or support, it has been appreciated. So now hopefully a few days of sunshine and back to work Monday :) May even have a few sneaky ales while watching the Broncos tonight :)
