Thank you Dana and thank you all for your thoughtful comments, concern and prayers for my grandparents today. Last night, their house caught a fire and burnt down. Grandma woke up pawpaw when she knew something was wrong, then he got her safely out of the house in time. They saved each others lives last night. My pawpaw and grandma are two beautiful hearts, minds and souls - grandma was even her fiery sense of humored self today, making us laugh at times in the midst of this & we are just so grateful that they both made it out with their lives, although they lost almost everything else. Apologies for taking so long to officially address this situation publicly with you all on here but its been a very very busy, long day. Pawpaw and grandmas direct neighbors have been incredibly supportive, helping and generous over the past 24 hours. Nene and pawpaw will be staying with mom and dad through the rebuilding process, which is the best place for them I think. Gene and Sue and everyone at the Alvin opry have been like family to us throughout the past years and they have also reached out to us with their generosity and love by hosting a benefit event for nene and pawpaw this Saturday at 2pm. I know this is short notice but we truly feel the love from you all and appreciate every one of you who have shown your concern by call, text or comments through here on facebook. I will read all of your kind words to them both personally. With love from us to you.
