Thank you Diane Mills for your comments and encouragement not just to post poems but anything inspirational. I have another story Id like to share that may be inspirational to the members, it certainly made me humble and inspired my continued songwriting & poetry writing. I had written a song called This is Life I recorded it and posted it on Youtube & FB as I normally do? I had a FB message from a gentleman in Brazil who thanked me for posting the song and said how much it had helped him? He went on to say that he had recently lost his life partner and the song had helped him get through the sadness and the lyrics had helped him get through the experience? I was totally humbled and amazed that the song had touched someone as far away as Brazil. I said to my Wife, it dont matter if you are straight or gay, young or old when your partner dies the hurt is very real to each and everyone of us. I sometimes play the song live and tell this story and I joke that in a certain part of Brazil Im a Gay icon, but pain and hurt is very real when you have lost a loved one.
