Thank you Martin Luther King Jr. When in high school I wrote a thesis on Martin Luther King Jr. and the concept of justice. It was my first introduction to grand spiritual leaders, at least ones that werent dead a few hundred years or more. It was the beginning of massive doses of truth going into my eyes and being retyped and written on my fingers until I was just exhausted. I had no idea just how much that inhalation was doing to my psyche. So I studied a good amount about Malcolm X and Ghandi, too, to compare their ideas on justice. Really I was inhaling greatness, absorbing something that switched me around inside. MLK was such a scholar, an intellectual, a philosopher. A man who viewed words and ideas and picked out the most lofty of ideas and gave them a deep support and root in action. It was the same with Malcolm X. The ideas were realities that were living in their eyes and minds and hearts. Thank you for blessing this earth with your time, your energy, your focus, your determination, your dedication, your perseverence, your light, your integrity, your passion, your grace. Thank you for helping make change possible, for giving faith to the weary and voice to the conscience of America and beyond. Thank you for your words and ideas and how they have changed the world as they have changed mine. Thank you for walking strong in the face of it all and not backing down. Thank you for being a father to so many souls without a father. In remembrance and gratitude, Gurunam Singh
