Thank you Matthew! Wood storks in Wewa, part III. Sharing action footage of the Wood Stork colony on the Dead Lakes - Apalachicola (Chipola) River. Like so many of Florida’s wetland birds, Wood Storks have been impacted by human interventions including manmade alterations in the natural cycles of high and low water in our wetlands. Although this colony appears to be thriving, Florida and the federal government have classed the Wood Stork as endangered. Video by Riverkeeper member, Matt Godwin.
