Thank you! My first of a series of public meetings around Georgetown on the issue of Local Government Elections. The mission is to bring awareness to the people on the importance of Local Government Elections, and the role they need to play. I also spoke about the governments promise to inject G$500M to clean up Georgetown, and the fact that the PPP needs to tell the people how is the money going to be spent. The Independent Party is calling on the PPP regime to ensure that the money goes directly into the communities, and let the people benefit from various contracts. This will assist with some form of job creation amongst the youths who would be responsible for the clean up campaign in their areas.
