Thank you Nyree Antoinette. Im reposting. I know people are tired about hearing about Michael Brown. But we have no choice but to keep hammering away. No one should sleep on this. Since the time Africans arrived on American soil as indentured servants, we had been classified as 3/5 human or treated like second class citizens. We had to escape our captures. We had to fight for freedom. We had to fight for better education, housing, employment, the right to vote, police brutality, and many forms of racism. And right now, at this present time or moment, we are still fighting to be first class citizens. Amazing right? For those who feel we dont need to continue to fight, because (yes) we do have a better life better than our generation before us. But every time when theres a Trayvon Martin, Mike Brown, and a 12 year old getting gunned down. This should be reminder that the fight is not over.
