Thank you Yesterdays Azadi Mela held at Khalsa Primary School sponsored by SOPW and blessed by the Sangat was a huge access, at its peak it drew a gathering twice as much as last year. The live T.V coverage was cut short due to other scheduled programs but both Sikh Channel and Sangat TV filmed the entire event and the highlights will be shown soon. It was a pleasure to mingle with the Sangat and discuss the main purpose of our sponsorship which was to highlight the concern regarding Sikh political prisoners in Indian jails. We would like to initially extend a huge thank you to all the Sangat that attended the Mela and helped raise lots of money and awareness for our cause, thank you to Khalsa Primary School for nominating SOPW to be the main sponsors, thank you also to all the artists who all gave a magnificent performance and to all the SOPW volunteers that travelled from up and down the county to help out at this event and finally to Sikh Channel and Sangat TV for filming the event, participating in the presenting and the overall smooth running of the day. Everybody that attended yesterday contributed to its success and as always we are humbled by the love and passion you showed us and more importantly our cause, with your blessings we will continue to proceed fearlessly and tirelessly towards our ultimate goal of justice for our prisoners.
