Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers over the last few - TopicsExpress

Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers over the last few months. They were working. Dads tumor was shrinking and we was getting better. The one worry was that while the tumor was dying, some major vessels were in close proximity. It happened in July and he wasnt supposed to live through that. They said if it happened again, he wouldnt make it. The peace we have is he was fairly healthy, gained strength and weight. He was happy and feeling the most like himself than he had in months. He went at home and not on a machine. This is the way he wouldve wanted. He was a great man, my hero. What Ive learned from so many was that he was a hero to a lot of people. Kind and generous, with his sense of humor and his ability to listen. He taught me a lot and was there for me, Chris and mom always, no matter what. He loved his grandkids with every ounce of his being; with a very special bond with Chloe, I say from sharing a birthday. I am grateful for all the time I got to spend with him. Itll be hard not seeing him or talking to him everyday. There was so much left to say. To talk about over coffee. For all of you that knew him, you know he didnt want any extra attention, he never expected anything from anyone but would give everyone his time and what he could. He would be angry to have people fussing over him; we are thankful everyone understands why we chose private services for this reason. He wouldnt want anyone to remember him in a box. Hes leaving us with his trademark Irish goodbye. So, as Chris and I say good bye to our dad, Dylan and Chloe to their Pa, Connie, Pat, Jim, and Mark to their brother and my mom to her best friend and husband of over 40 years, I ask everyone who can read this, to look up, thank God for sending us an angel and ask he takes him up to be reunited with his friends and family he loved so much.
