Thank you all for your heartfelt best wishes. We battle pain. We also battle misery, loss of income, home, family, and indeed, ourselves, at times. This is due both directly and indirectly to health issues related to cluster headache. Simply put, the impact on quality of life from chronic cluster headache is devastating, overwhelming, and life threatening. The impact it has had on my life is immense. I have had clusters for 36 years now. The saga continues. Constant pain and attacks of the worst pain that humans feel changes you. I have and will continue to address the mental issues that cluster headache brings with it. Mental illness as a comorbidity is so often overlooked. Cluster headaches can and will manifest mental illness. Please everyone be aware of this. Mental illness also packs with it much social stigma. Seems a fitting pair these disorders. My issues stem directly from the lack the proper treatment from the VA healthcare system. To this point, I believe they are more harm to me than good. THE VETERANS ADNIMISTRATION HEALTHCARE SYSTEM IS TOTALLY DYSFUNTIONAL. COMPLETELY AND ABSOLUTLY DYSFUNTIONAL Nothing has changed. The big VA uproar did nothing but provide more bonuses for administrative fatcats stealing from our VETERANS...PERIOD. This last hospital ER visit only proved it to me further. Its not good. They are overwhelmed with patients, only 1 in ten staff gives a shit, and they cover their asses, not yours. Sorry, but thats what I got. And now we wait for an appointment on Friday wherein, nothing will happen but more stigma distrust and refused treatment. If I had any other healthcare I would jump on that so fast. So everyone knows..The US gment...is default in its responsability.....again...still...too busy fixing problems of others and not their own. I will jump off the box now..I had to get that out. SUPPORT IS LIFESAVING....Spread it around..
