Thank you everyone for your thoughts, prayers, and hugs. My heart has been so broken the past two days. My grandmother means more to me than I can possibly put into words. She has been a surrogate mother, godly mentor and a dear and treasured friend. For those that do not know or that may want an update she is in Houston Hospital and very, very ill. She had a bad heart attack a week and a half ago and had decided to recuperate in the nursing home but has just gotten progressively worse. She now has pneumonia and her lungs and heart are filled with fluid. She is sweet and kind and all kinds of spunky. She was unresponsive most of yesterday but woke up enough to talk a little, eat a bit and show us her wonderful sense of humor, then back to sleep. Today she had many visitors and loved ones coming to share their prayers and love. She was actually able to visit with some of them and this evening she would sleep but sporadically say something here and there. I love that even in her very frail state she hasnt lost that razor sharp whit. We know that all is well in her heart and she is prepared to meet her Lord and Savior. I see in my minds eye my great grandparents, my grandfather, my mother, two aunts, and great grand children waiting to welcome her home. I am selfish and Im not ready for her to go. God is always in control and we are praying for a healing. We are believing that it will be on this side of heaven but we understand he may heal her by taking her home. I am thanking you for your continued prayers for her and our family.
