Thank you for allowing me to join. Last week I lost my best friend after hed spent a week in hospital on fluids. Hed been diagnosed as having a kidney problem so I had put him on to Hills a Prescription Diet k/d canine. He loved it for the first few weeks then one day, he only ate half, the next he ate 1/4. Like many dogs, hed drink a bit fast and oops, up would come some water. But the vomiting continued, turning from clear liquid into yellow foam. After not eating again we saw the vet on the Wednesday and she decided to admit him, run full scans to make sure there were no blockages, more labs to check his kidney function and to put him on much needed IV fluids. Unfortunately, whilst his kidneys showed sign of improvement, he still wouldnt eat and last Wednesday after a week in the hospital, he suffered massive seizures and died in my arms at 9.30am. One day I will find another like him, but he was my Napoleon, my soulmate and best friend. And he was a beautiful loving soul until the end of his short life. RIP Napoleon b. 24.04.07 d. 29.10.14.
