Thank you for allowing me to join your forum. A little on why I am voting yes to legalize, in the very least, medical marijuana. I am a 44(today) year old female who smoked most of my life. Quit do to job, and always missed it, but did what I had to do to support family. In 2012 I was diagnosed with blood cancer. I fought and won, but treatments made me very, very ill. Little did I know when I won my cancer battle. I thought it was over, nope its just begun. I now have a disease called gastroparesis, which means my stomach is paralyzed. I cant eat. I have a feeding tube, and can barely tolerate even liquids. Nausea, vomiting, and racking pain are my daily life. Weed has been my savior. It lowers my nauseous. Stops the vomiting, and on good days I even get the munchies and am able to tolerate a shake. I really and truly give my prescribed meds a chance, but when they arent doing it I need weed. I dont just randomly smoke btw, I do it on a schedule. Im tired of going against the law to be well. I feel like a criminal and am terrified of losing my children. Just because I want to eat and see something besides my toilet bowl. Use this info, if it helps, to decriminalize a medicine that works. Thanks for the vent. :)
