Thank you for inhaling the insanity of the Manic Matrix of Mt. Baker Blues Festival and B.C. Day Weekend. Things were steady until 8:30, right when we were looking at reducing service levels (just thinking of...), we ended up with 48 people walking in... In a restaurant that seats 40. Which meant some folks waited an inordinate time for their tables and our kitchen cooked over an hour beyond closing. For this glut of business WE THANK YOU! It is worth noting that in one case, our very last large party to arrive at that time were some locals. And yes, the staff chose to share with me your dissatisfaction as scrawled across our waiting list. To which I reply, we certainly wish we could have had you at the front of the line vs. the very last table to arrive. Then again, I wish that for everyone. We exercise a rule of democracy (if you could ask my late mother in law) and unfortunately that means first come first served. Sorry for your inordinate FN wait. And thank you at least not spelling it out for others to read. Vicki
