Thank you for the add! As much as I dont want to have others in the same situation, I am glad Im not the only one that is having such a hard time with them. My husband was to be separating rather quickly, so the day he got his orders we rented a car in HNL and shipped our car on June 20. The plan was to ship it, where my husband would meet the POV in LA and then drive it home to CO. When we turned in the vehicle the woman processing us told us that there was a barge leaving that friday night and our car would be on it and to expect it only to take roughly two weeks which would have worked out perfectly with the time frame we had. July 1 tried locating it online and was given the message that it was an incorrect tracking number. So I tried calling the toll free number and got nothing but full voicemails. I spent the next hour calling on repeat and when someone did answer, she didnt introduce herself, but started talking as if she was supposed to be on the phone with someone else. When she finally acknowledged me, she was able to find our name in the system only to tell me that the vehicle was still sitting in HNL and she wouldnt be able to tell me when it would leave but assured me it would be in LA by the NLT date lf July 15th we were originally given. Thankfully PSD was able to reroute my husband straight to CO since he was to be leaving the island within the week. I called again on the next monday and was told, that the vehicle had shipped on June 30 so there was no need to worry about it not reaching the port by the NLT date. Once July 15th rolled around, I called yet again asking for the status of the vehicle and was told that they werent sure if it was still in HNL or if it was in transit to LA. And when asked how they expect people to just not know where their vehicle is or live up to the NTL date, I was given a big I dont know, but there is no need for me to be calling so often to check the status bevause when it does arrive, they will be contacting me. Yet, through this whole thing no one has contacted us letting us know it would be delayed or that there were any issues. We currently still have no idea where it is, or when it will be arriving in LA. Thankfully because we did move back to home of record we have been able to borrow a vehicle from our family instead of having to pay for rental on this side, but it is frustrating that we paid for a rental for 3 weeks in HNL while our car just sat there. And now once the car does arrive, we will have to pay to fly my husband to LA to meet the car and drive back. It makes for a bit of a stressful situation when my husband is trying to find employment and we have this looming over that he is going to have to get himself there and hopefully it doesnt conflict with any employment opportunities that could arise. On top of the fact that Im 8 months pregnant and that is our family car that we recently bought to be sure a carseat fits in it, because it sure wont fit in the 2 passenger ranger we have been borrowing. I sure hope that this entire situation gets cleared up very, very soon.
