Much more fun to explain my posts I think. If you post Bon Jovi, theres no need (no offence meant) as big stadium rock is thrust upon you by the prevalent pop culture whether you want it or not and the mainstream is all well and good but.... Anyway, here are The Screamers. They never made it to a record release but were a huge influence on punk rock. They were a band that existed before Punk was codified, there was no Hot Topic to buy punk gear made in Chinese factories back then :). Of interest is their use of keys over guitars, with the old equipment distorted to give it a punk rock attack. No rules back then, Punk was whatever you said it was. New Wave, No Wave, Hardcore, whatever. I little the snotty, annoyed singer, full of rage, camp and affectation and the polar opposite of the satin wearing, cocaine and red wine, fluffy hair and beards stadia bands that almost forced a negative reaction in younger artists. Ill take this over Hotel California thanks.
