Thank you for the add. John Kay and Steppenwolf are a very special band to me. They were the beginning of my love of music, especially hard rock. My father had given me several of his old tapes when I was three. One was Steppenwolf Gold. Upon discovering my interest in the band, he taught me all the words to Born to Be Wild. John Kays lyrics, life story and music has been my comfort and inspiration for as long as I can remember. It is the voice that will stop me anywhere, wake me out of a dead sleep, the reason I picked up a guitar. I had the good fortune of meeting John Kay when I was seventeen. He is one of the greatest storytellers I have ever had the pleasure of talking to. A memory I will take with me forever.
