Thank you, friends, for all of the birthday wishes! Facebook sure makes birthdays fun! On this, my 40th birthday, I have woken up to dog poop on the carpet, grumpy kids after a long vacation, a hefty car repair bill, a day full of more PTA work then I can possibly get done and many, many birthday calls, texts and messages from family and friends. And while it is fun to laughingly look at 40 as over the hill I have to say that on this day my heart is FULL. I am grateful for grumpy kids who are healthy enough to have the luxury to complain about the small things and as a sign of a wonderful and restful vacation. I am grateful that we have the means to pay for a hefty car bill. I am grateful for PTA work that I find fulfilling (even if it doesnt pay well). I am grateful for the dog poop...well maybe not that one. But I am grateful for the dog whom our family adores and who is the perfect complement to this crazy crew. I am grateful for the AMAZING group of people that I have accumulated through my 40 years whom I get to call my family and friends and who pour love in my direction. And I am especially grateful to 40 years of a happy, healthy life. I am hoping for at least 40 more, but as I have learned all too well recently, nothing is guaranteed. And I am thankful for each day I am here to be the mother to my children, the wife to my generous and thoughtful husband, the daughter to my loving parents, a sibling to my awesome brother and sister and a hopefully the friend to all of you that you are to me! Thanks you for letting me reflect! Love to all of you!
