Thank you so much for all your kind words, thoughts and prayers today. Please know how much we appreciate them. Harry and I just got home and are so relieved today is over. So, the results are okay. As one of the doctors said, we did not get bad news so that is good news. There is good news and that is the tumor (solid portion) is stable. I am quite relieved about this. The psuedo aneurysm is stable too and that is good. So, the questionable news revolves around the cyst. This cyst has been so problematic and clearly is going to continue to do so. On the scan, it shows a lot of inflammation around the cyst and the doctors are not sure why. One thought is the area around the cyst (which is brain matter and the optic nerves) is reacting the cyst breaking down and therefore leaking both the interferon chemotherapy and cystic fluid out or something else is going on. So, to figure this out, Harry will have to go in on Monday morning for a CT scan to examine the cyst more closely. He will have a dye study as part of his CT scan. We hope to know more then. Also, his oncology team will meet with the neurosurgeons tomorrow to discuss this too to see what their thoughts are. I hope to know more next week. I promise to update then.
