Thank you, thank you to all who were a part of the ranch rodeo. Yesterday and last night were long but such a blessing! Wow! Our kids put this ranch rodeo together for their dad on the ride home together from the hospital after Robs first surgery. I cant begin to tell you how proud we are to be their mom and dad. Rob had an awesome time visiting with many, many people from all aspects of our lives. I think around 1000 people came to show their support and we were humbled and blessed. The hugs and words of love and encouragement were priceless. There were many blessings, but one of my favorites was getting to finally meet and get a hug from a young man who we have been praying for and doing business with by phone and email for more than 10 years. Paul Brockus you were a blessing. Thank you for driving so far to make our day! The cowboys were entertaining, especially the last event, where the horse had to pull a man on a homemade sled! Lots of dirt flying. Great job by all! Lots of laughter and fun. The kids had a blast and were honored as Papas grandchildren with treats and special love by all. Our son Wes has grown into a man that we are so proud of. He and his wife Kellie had to take over everything after Cheryl and Kevin had to go another road. Awesome job! Wes started the event with scripture, a few words about his dads accident and emphasis on who was in that burning machine with him that day. His voice broke, his heart in what he was saying! He said, whats better than answers to our questions? Trusting a good God who has His reasons. The scripture he shared was ...I will never leave you or forsake you. Hebrews 13:5 He then said, there are two things you should always remember. One, never be in a position like Dad was without a buddy around just in case, and two, if you do, make sure Jesus is there with you! It makes all the difference. Not exactly how he said it, but this is what he said. Rob and I were proud to call him Son, A man after Gods own heart. The kids and all the other helpers worked hard and tirelessly to make it a success!! The only thing that could have made it better, was for Cheryl Langston Barron and Kevin to be there. They were sorely missed but their presence was felt throughout. Cheryl is a precious daughter who is showing strength and courage not her own. Kevin is bearing his load but not alone and making sure others know where his strength comes from. So proud and thankful! My heart is full. Robs Macklin was busy taking care of the only man who could take her heart from her dad? Kevin is having a rough time, please continue praying. We will be praising, thanking, praying and resting today! Pray your day is a blessed one! To God be the Glory! From my heart to yours, Blessed
