Thank you to everyone who helped shine a light on the carefully - TopicsExpress

Thank you to everyone who helped shine a light on the carefully concealed lies within the article I linked earlier. Information helps me to dispel the illusion of facts. To move away from the article in question, can I ask any of you to address some of my personal concerns about vaccinations? If I understand things correctly, it seems that vaccinations, although they may have positive benefits, will always put a strain on the immune system, especially if they are given to a young child. However it seems that the trend is to immunise against more and more illnesses, including those that are arguably not especially dangerous, such as chickenpox. My question is this: at what point are the benefits of multiple vaccinations outweighed by the risks of giving an immune system (especially that of a young child) the overwhelming task of responding to several different infections at once. Im sorry if this is a little vague, but I hope you can see what Im driving at? To speak metaphorically (and please let me know how this does not apply if it doesnt) if the human immune system is like a muscle that grows stronger with use, does it not risk permanent damage when we vaccinate against multiple illnesses at once, as a muscle risks tearing and injury if we do too much exercise at once? To put it another way, I can see the benefits of immunising against something like smallpox or polio, where the damage being done by the illness far outweighed the potential risks of the vaccination itself. Likewise I see the benefits of vaccinating against certain illnesses today - those that are almost certainly life threatening if contracted. However, the scales begin to tip in my mind when we start immunising against things like chickenpox. Once, we all expected to get chickenpox at some stage. I was sick and miserable for two weeks with itchy spots, but I dont see this as the worst thing in the world, compared to overloading my young immune system. In other words, those of you who believe that vaccinations are a good idea, do you believe that they are truly safe, no matter how many you give a child? Or are there limits to this and questions that still need to be asked?
