Thank you to the town of Ashland, the second town on the Boston Marathon route. In Ashland, the course twists downhill on Union Street for just over 3 miles. Ashland is also known as Clock Town and was the home of Henry E. Warren, inventor of the first electric clock, commemorated by the large electric clock tower which stands near the center of town.
