Thankful... I am not thankful just today or only because this is the month that we celebrate Thanksgiving... I am Thankful EVERYDAY!!! Sometimes I complain or moan and groan about things... But today giving my time at the local Homeless Shelter puts those complaints and other things I call problems seem very, very small. I dont have to worry about a roof over my head, where my next meal comes from. Will my kids have a coat to wear to school, can I put gas in my car. Can I pay my electric bill or will I have a place to sleep tonight. Just so, so many things we take for granted everyday.. I dont go to Church every Sunday. I can tell you this that there is not a day that goes by that I dont THANK The Lord or ask for prayer for something or someone. I am Thankful for All my family and friends. I am thankful for the job I have to go to each and everyday and all my employees who show up for work so we have a place for our customers to come too and feel good about the service we have just provided. I have too went thru hard times And thinking will I make it and will I be able to keep a roof and food over my kids head. The Good Lord has never failed me in good times and Bad. Things are not always easy but nothing Good comes easy. I may not always do the right thing and if it isnt I will make the change to make it Right. I adopted a family today for Christmas where both parents do work but making ends meet is not always easy. I hope each of you can take time out of the Holiday Season that we all get wrapped up in thinking about all this stuff we need to buy our kids. Instead maybe donate your time at a local shelter or kitchen. Donate some food, clothing warm blankets or a hot meal. So as we all gather around the table each and every night remember how lucky you are to enjoy that meal with your family, because their is someone out there tonight that is going hungry and doesnt have a home to go too.
